eVestment's Private Equity Limited Partner Due Diligence Trends 2016 report offers a unique view into institutional investors' due diligence practices.
 
Based on a survey of institutional investors across the world, findings include:
 
  • 60% of LPs carry out either the same or more due diligence on a manager they are re-investing with, compared to a manager that is new to them.
     
  • When measured by PE AUM, smaller LPs say they are more trusting of manager-reported performance compared to larger LPs.
     
  • Over two-thirds of LPs carry out PME analysis, and half of them plan to increase their use.​
